SHIVER ME TIMBERS: DON’T LET RECRUITERS WALK YOU OFF THE PLANK 🏴‍ROC

In the wild waters of PRN nursing, there are plenty of sirens singing about "massive gold" and "exclusive contracts". But if you aren't careful, you might find yourself stuck on a ghost ship with a lowball paycheck. Before you hand over your treasure, your personal information, you need to make sure you aren’t dealing with a digital pirate.

GUARD YOUR TREASURE: THE CAPTAIN’S CODE

Your Social Security number, license details, and banking info are your most valuable cargo. Don't let a "blind item" recruiter plunder your data before they’ve even shown you the map.

The Dos (Stay on Course):

Verify the Crew: Use the Recruiters Bay to connect with vetted recruiters who are part of the Per Diem Plug alliance.

Inspect the Colors: A real recruiter sails under a professional company email flag (like name@agency.com), not a generic "gmail.com" or "yahoo.com" in most cases.

Check the Logbook: A quick search for their LinkedIn profile should show a real history with real connections, not a profile that was created yesterday.

The Don’ts (Avoid the Kraken):

Don't Surrender Your Papers Early: Never send your full Social or sensitive documents until you have a verified, written offer in your hand.

Don't Click Suspicious DMs: If a recruiter sends a link without a real conversation, it’s likely a trap for your data.

SPOT THE BAIT AND SWITCH: THE "VIVI" SIREN SONG

We’ve all seen those "blind" sites (looking at you, Vivi) claiming they have 4,000 USD treasures waiting for you. But the moment you drop anchor and reach out, the song changes. Suddenly, that 4,000 USD job "just filled," and they try to lowball you with a weak 2,500 USD contract. Don't fall for the bait; if the numbers don't match the post, keep sailing.

WHAT IS ACTUAL GOLD? (THE HIGH-PAYING STANDARD)

At Per Diem Plug, we only count the gold if it hits these marks:

Travel Contracts: Look for exactly 3,000 USD for 36 hours or 4,000 USD for 48 hours.

Per Diem (California): We only post jobs that are 70 dollars per hour and up.

Per Diem (Other States): We look for 60 dollars per hour and up.

Anything lower is just pirate's copper, not worth your time.

MAP YOUR ROUTE: THE REAL PLUG

First to the Loot: High-paying assignments move fast. Have your credentials ready in a digital folder so you can apply the moment a lead drops.

Watch the Horizon: Keep an eye on the Recruiters Bay for direct lines to people who actually have the contracts they promise.

Insider News: We drop fresh and hot news about upcoming strikes so you can be the first to secure those premium rates.

Secure the Cabin: We don't just find the job; we also help look for housing options so you have a safe place to rest after your shift.

Listen to the Fleet: Join the Close Friends Community to hear where the real money is hiding before it hits the public boards.

STOP SIFTING THROUGH SAND. FIND THE TREASURE.

Stop wasting hours of your life searching through lowball offers, krakens, and mermaids. Let us do the scouting for you.

At Per Diem Plug, we find the high-paying contracts so you don’t have to. Our Close Friends Community and Recruiters Bay are the only maps you need to find the jobs you deserve.

In our next update, we will dive deeper into how these specific tools can be used to turn financial information into a concrete plan for growth.
